Crisis on Infinite Blog Entries

Since beginning this blog, I have twice experienced corruption of its database because I exceeded the storage limit on my hosting plan. So I took action. Yesterday my site was finally moved to a different plan with double the storage space! Great news, right? Well, in preparing for this move, I downloaded all the files from the server. I did this on December 19th. This weekend I uploaded the files to their new home, in anticipation of the swtich. Can you see where this is going? Next thing you know, my old site is wiped off the map, the new one is up... and the last 3 weeks of blog entries are history. Woo hoo! Another brilliant job by The Pickytarian.

There remains a flicker of hope that I will be able to restore the missing entries. Most likely, however, we will just have to pretend they never happened. Gah!

I'm looking forward to your explanation of why those 3 weeks were never supposed to have entries. It's not really a comics blog until the first retcon!

Give us a good enough explanation of why it wasn't actually a mistake, and I'll send you a No-Prize.

The problem, you see, involved that old chestnut -er, adversary, time travel. But all is not lost. There is still some fluctuation in the time-space continuum. Alternate Pickytarians keep flickering in and out of existence. Pickytarians from the past... and the future!

Will I be able to bring back the past as we all remember it? Or, even worse, will I have continue spinning this hackneyed, improbable excuse for why it happened? Stay tuned...

You could also go with something more simple. For example, wait until the end of the year. and then mention "I'll be taking a vacation from December 19 until early January, just like I do every year."

But now I'm starting to be intrigued by the idea of "Pickytarians from the future". Are we going to see any comics reviews from decades to come?

Amazing Spider-Man 1000: The Sinister Sixty is back, with a vengeance! Donning a fur-trimmed, web-gloved costume and calling herself Spider-Kitten, Britney Hardy-Parker, Peter Parker's love-child by the Felicia Hardy, joins Spider-man and his daughter Spider-girl joined to battle this collection of her father's old foes and their scions. Don't let Kraven's walker fool you, this old lion still has a few teeth!

While I love seeing Spidey's rogues gallery collected, I think the plot was weak and hackneyed. The Venom symbiote has split and spawned too many times to keep track, and pulling John Romita Jr. out of retirement to do the pencils was a great honor, but clearly his palsied hands shake too much these days. I feel bad for his inker.

I felt the usual mixture of arousal and shame looking at the frequent and gratuitous cleavage and posterior shots of Spider-Kitten. Is that chick her mother's daughter, or what?

2035 AD: The "Avengers and Sunshine" mini-series continues the trend of "lightening up" the Marvel Universe, moving away from the dark, realistic storylines we've loved for decades. Does anyone really want this? These are not the characters that we grew to love back at the turn of the century! I'm starting to believe the rumor that this story will end without even revealing that a long-term ally has become evil.

I'm not sure that I'll bother finishing this series.

HAAAAAAAA ha ha ha!

I want to try and top these but I can't come up with anything funnier... 5 stars!
